Abangani Enkosini hosted by McDonald’s

| 2 June 2014

On 31 May about 25 children from Abangani Enksosini were treated to lunch by McDonald’s head office at their Woodmead restaurant. Abangani helps 253 children, most of whom are indigent and orphaned, and who visit the centre every day on their way to school to receive a bowl of soft porridge, and then on their return at about 15h00, a meal which suffices as their dinner, is provided.

To add to their excitement in the children’s party room, they were joined by soccer star, Siboniso Gaxa.

Playtime for all until it was time to tuck into their burgers, chips, and cold drinks, but not before prayers were recited. Tummies filled and it was back to the play area before a timeout was called for all to enjoy ice cream cones. The children sang to the assembled group, and chanted thank you to all before they left the premises with huge smiles on their faces.

A big thank you to Sechaba from McDonald’s for inviting the Nashua Children’s Charity  Foundation to bring the children to lunch, and to hosts Louis, Lerato, Maggie, and team who took care of the group. We’d like to also thank Lana, Jessica, and Jess for their assistance in tending to all the children’s needs.
