As such, the company endeavours to provide its customers with peace of mind through offering comprehensive and innovative hardware and software business solutions such as Digital Storage, Variable Data Printing, Managed Print Services and Managed Document Services.

History of Nashua:

Nashua South Africa was acquired by the Barlows Group in 1983. Until then, the company had been a subsidiary of Nashua Corporation, a US-based company which manufactures and distributes a variety of products all over the world. Since the mid-1990’s Nashua has been part of the Reunert Group, specialising in servicing the corporate business market.

Green Initiatives   [back to top]

Nashua has a firm commitment to ensuring that our own business is green, and that our customers are also able to reduce their carbon footprint. Therefore, our solutions have been designed to lower the amount of paper our clients print, while still maintaining a high level of efficiency. We also have functionality built into our devices that reduce electricity consumption when not in use.

We are also currently in the process of gaining ISO 14001 accreditation, which is an internationally accepted standard that sets out how you can go about putting in place an effective environmental management system.

This could not only provide accreditation to companies conducting business with us, but will also allow us to conduct green IT reporting, and contribute even more significantly towards lowering our clients’ carbon footprint.

BEE  [back to top]

In 2005, Nashua Limited became the largest black empowered organisation in the office automation industry, when the decision was taken to merge our major account direct selling operation with the former black-owned franchise Nashua Kopano.

This structure represents 20% of all Nashua sales throughout the country, and provides the empowered company with an 8% share of the South African office automation market.

This partnership is a practical implementation of Nashua’s empowerment policies, the result of which is a true BEE organisation, suitably experienced to take on the challenges of our industry.
