Having supported numerous children’s charities in South Africa for many years, Nashua Limited officially founded the Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation (NCCF) in May 2010, in order to consolidate all its corporate social investment initiatives.

 

 

 

         

 

 

 

 

 

 

The NCCF is a non-profit organisation focussed on the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and the homes that care for them. It also provides approximately 60,000 meals per month to about 1,000 children.

Further, the NCCF partakes in monthly grocery shops providing much needed food, fresh vegetables, clothing and toiletries to the several charities it supports regularly, with several others receiving ad hoc support throughout the year.

As part of its sustainable living projects, the NCCF treats children to various outings, including trips to Sun City, the zoo and various shopping excursions.

The NCCF also focuses heavily on educational opportunities through the provision of school uniforms, stationery, transportation and assistance with school fees. We also understand that part of helping a child to be better educated means taking care of their basic living conditions. We are therefore involved in renovations, additions and alterations to the homes that the Foundation cares for.

Charities are visited and assessed regularly, which enables the NCCF team to not only determine their needs, but to make conscious decisions to contribute to the sustainability of each project.

Having started with only three charities, the NCCF now assists 32 children’s homes and organisations on a regular basis, and many more on an ad-hoc basis.

The Foundation is also Empowerdex rated at 95 percent.
