Nashua Limited’s capabilities in significantly enhancing a company’s business processes were firmly demonstrated at the Gartner Symposium ITxpo Africa 2012, held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 28to 30 August 2012.
Avis Fleet Services (AFS) CIO Mike Re and AFS analyst programmer Vincent Kell spoke in detail during a session held on 29 August about an enterprise content management (ECM) software solution that Nashua had implemented at AFS.
The solution helped the company to automate a variety of business processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. It involved the integration of Laserfiche with an Oracle ERP system and the AFS fleet management and fleet accident management systems.
Subsequently, AFS has been able to automatically route digitised customer invoices for approval, which has boosted staff productivity while reducing printing and document storage costs.
Re noted that the implementation of the solution has significantly enhanced AFS’s business processes and changed the way it conducts business. He added that the solution has also resulted in enhanced productivity and cost reduction for the company, and furthered its sustainability initiatives by reducing its carbon footprint.
Nashua’s National Manager: Solutions and Innovation, Ben Sheppard asserts that the positive results that the solution has achieved provides validity as to its effectiveness.
“Customers often fear business and document process optimisation, as they have a reputation for being costly and difficult to implement. However, Nashua has proved that this belief is patently untrue, as we were able to provide an EMS solution to Avis Fleet Services which addressed their issues effectively and within an acceptable budget.”
The Gartner Symposium ITxpo Africa is an exhibition that showcases some of the latest breakthrough technology products and services, and includes a gathering of top CIO’s and senior IT executives.
Nashua is the representative partner of Laserfiche in South Africa, and had a stand and presence at the symposium in which it showcased Laserfiche’s capabilities to attendees.
Sheppard concludes that Nashua’s relationship with Laserfiche is a proof point as to its effectiveness as a solutions provider.
