Nashua Titans reach final cheered on by 13th Man winners

| 11 April 2013

The Nashua Titans fought tooth and nail to get themselves to the top of the log and into the final of the exciting inaugural Ram Slam T20 Challenge and during the course of the tournament they ran a once-in-a-lifetime Nashua Titans 13th Man competition where five lucky winners shared the bench, the experience and the emotions with their cricketing heroes.

Hendriette Laesecke, Jack Galvin, Leon van Vuuren, Tammy Fouche (who sent her cricket-mad boyfriend Bradley Schneider) and Jane Malan were all treated to the incredible opportunity of meeting legends like Henry Davids, Albie Morkel, Jacques Rudolph and AB de Villiers up close and personal, accompanying the Captains onto the field for the toss and then sharing the game with players in the dugout pitchside.

“It was such a great experience to be there right where the toss took place, and to sit in the dugout with the team,” said Galvin. “It was truly an incredible afternoon.”

Proud sponsor of the Titans, Nashua invited all five of the winners plus their friends to the VIP box for the illustrious final. Unfortunately on the day the Nashua Titans lost to the Bizhub Highveld Lions but overall it was a magical day for the winners.

“It was the most amazing time of my life,” said Schneider, “I felt like a little boy all over again. It really was an amazing experience and I will never forget the memories.”

“The 13th Man competition was a great success for Nashua and the Nashua Titans,” said Dave Hallas, Marketing Director. “The feedback that I got back personally from the winners was amazing. They were able to identify with the Nashua brand and sit alongside their cricketing idols – it was a great activation.”

Although the Nashua Titans 13th Man campaign has come to an exciting end, the App is still available for download at the Apple and Android App stores or at nashuatitans.mobi.
