Nashua’s 26th Annual Children’s Charity Golf Tournament took place on 11 May at the Kyalami Country Club to raise funds for charities supported by the Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation (NCCF).
The winning team led by Dimitri Tsaperas from Origo South Africa won with 96 points and was announced at the prize-giving dinner hosted by Jacaranda FM’s General Manager, Kevin Fine, who acted as the master of ceremonies for the celebratory affair.
Miss SA 2016, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, also attended the dinner to present the prizes. All funds raised through ticket sales and sponsor hole activities went directly to the NCCF.
The Nashua-sponsored event saw several teams from major corporates taking part, including Stuttafords, Massmart, UTI, Jetline, The Core Group, NMG, Kerneos, Mondi, Quince Capital and Nashua franchises. Former Protea’s cricketer, Neil McKenzie, also participated in the event.
“The NCCF is an amazing initiative of which I’m proud to be a part,” says McKenzie. “Participating in the golf tournament is great fun, but knowing that 100% of the funds raised are donated to the foundation makes it a truly worthwhile event.”
