Sweet treat for the NCCF charities, courtesy of TWIX

| 10 March 2014

The Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation received a donation of 12 000 units of TWIX chocolates, valued at R84 000.00, from Perx – the local agents for the brand. Thanks to a rush pick-up by our wonderful friends at Bayley Worldwide Transport, the TWIX were collected and delivered to us within an hour.

The charities arrived at Makro Woodmead to collect their monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly grocery shop on Saturday morning, and were surprised to find additional boxes waiting for them.  Helen visited Thuthuzela Aids Community Centre, where some of the young resident orphans could not wait to open their chocolates, and additional boxes were left with them to hand over to the more than 75 children who will arrive on Monday morning for day care.

At Banakekeleni Orphanage a few of the children who were not playing sport, were thrilled with their little treat, and were eager to share these with the rest of the group as soon as they arrived home.

The balance of the chocolates will be packaged for delivery by Nashua staff who live in or close to the areas where the rest of our charities are located, within the next 10 days.
