Vegetable Garden Planting – Epworth Children’s Village

| 7 October 2013

The hot sun did not detract the very enthusiastic Epworth Village team lead by Astonishment, in planting six vegetable gardens which we hope will soon flourish and assist in feeding the 75 orphaned, abused and indigent children who are housed in the village.

The NCCF has been assisting Epworth Children Village for close to four years with regular purchases of groceries, outings for the children, clothing shopping sprees and more. We hope that their new gardens produce vegetables really soon and that the excited Epworth staff will maintain them as promised.

Thanks to Helen, Liezel and Mandy being a part of this project. And a big thank you to Claire, Emily and the Reel Gardening team for their training in the preparation of beds, the planting of the seed trips, and the verbal and hard copy advice on the maintenance of the beds.
