Nashua Paarl & West Coast has the above position available at their office based in Paarl. The ideal candidate is a detailed, analytical, driven individual with excellent accounting knowledge and has the ability to work accurately under pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate checks and balances are in place to facilitate ethical financial practices, providing financial information to management by analyzing accounting data, and preparing reports.

Duties will include:

• Ensuring all statutory financial requirements are adhered to & continuously updated.
• Ensuring documents are in order before payments are made
• Monthly reporting
• Ensuring that reconciliations, balance sheets, and income statements are done timeously and accurately
• Assist with cash flow management
• Full cash book maintenance, ensuring all cash book entries are posted to the correct account
• Maintenance of fixed asset register
• Ensuring that intercompany balances are agreed upon and loaded correctly
• Ensuring that VAT 201 reconciliations are done correctly and loaded on e-filling
• Ensuring that EMP 201 submissions done
• Assist with internal & external audits
• Comfortable with passing manual journals and ensuring debit & credit entries are correct
• Assist with preparation of the budget and financial statements
• Assisting with preparation of BBBEE information requirements
• All other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Accounting;
• Approximately 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Sage experience advantageous);
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Own reliable transport.

Minimum Requirements

• Consumables / Stationary Sales experience beneficial
• Strong telephonic sales & communication skills
• Grade 12 / Matric
• Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle
• Self-motivated and driven
• Computer Literate
• Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales   targets and expand our customer base.
• Achieve/exceed monthly and annual sales targets as set out in monthly / annual budgets.
• Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
• Establish, maintain & develop business relationships
