Purpose of the position: Technical support and regular maintenance of all Nashua products in the field.
Job Responsibilities:
This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis. It does not include other duties as assigned.
- Fully install, program, lay cabling, (if required) of new PABX systems, VOIP systems, ECN products as well as MAN3000 systems
- Repair and service of these products
- Installation and Maintenance on network components- PBX, routers, switches, access points and cabling
- Troubleshooting, Diagnosing, and Resolving Hardware and software system problems
- Provide quality support service on site (client facing) and remotely
- To follow the correct procedures when receiving a service call, and the completion thereof
- Take responsibility and accountability for all stock issued to you in your day-to-day job functions
- Keep the Technical Manager informed on problems relating to your job and maintain an awareness of the customer’s needs and requirements.
- Maintain service level requirements of Nashua with regards to training and field performance service levels
- Must be open, and willing, to be cross trained over all technical lines of business to promote better productivity and to provide assistance
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- 2+ years Installation and Maintenance of PBX, routers, switches, access points and cabling.
- Flexible with new Software and Hardware
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to work within the framework of deadlines and be able to complete tasks within the time constraints
- Must be willing to travel, work overtime if required and attend training over weekends
- Based in Vryburg or prepared to relocate
- Well dressed and presentable
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Customer focused.
Working hours:
- Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 17.00
- Friday 08:00 to 16:00
To start as soon as possible.
