The Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation (NCCF) recently travelled through Dikgale in Limpopo to deliver groceries to charities in need.
The NCCF purchased R280 249 worth of non-perishable foods as well as large pockets of potatoes to feed more than 3500 needy children in Dikgale in the coming months.
The Lonely Road and NCCF volunteer teams lifted and carried goods to the centres. The team received a warm welcome from the children and care-givers. Singing, dancing, drum majorettes, drums and ululating followed the NCCF wherever they went. At the Kokona Centre, the staff prepared a delicious feast which was enjoyed by everyone.
The NCCF extends their thanks to Kim, Lindee, Mandy, Sergio, Carina, Phil, Teresa and little Bizi for their assistance. They would like to thank Sergio for his careful driving and Mandy for providing breakfast snacks. A special thanks to Europcar for donating a vehicle for the weekend. The NCCF also thanks Makro Woodmead for their generous donation in discounting the grocery purchases by almost R60 000.
Despite the hard work, the NCCF will endeavour to make the donations again in the future and continue to make a difference in the lives of others.
