Maureen Muka’s goal is to assist her community and learners at the Bambi Care Crèche by giving them not just three nutritious meals daily but a good education as well. Bambi Care Crèche opened its doors to children between the ages of six months and nine years and since 2006, has been providing food to orphaned children on weekends. The school works with children on the OBE System and ensures that they are school ready when departing for grade 1. Maureen Mabuka, the founder of the crèche, has a morning job which enables her to pay the two qualified teachers, cleaner and cook who work at the crèche. Maureen has many goals for Bambi Care including owning the current property she is renting which will give her the opportunity to be more hands on with the school and children. The crèche is open from 05h00 to 19h00 daily.
