The Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation commemorated its 9th annual World Aids Day, thanks to our generous sponsors, Montecasino Bird Gardens, Flamingo Café and Magic Company.
The children from one of our NCCF assisted charities will be talking about this day throughout the long summer school break, and what a way to start their holiday. Upon arrival refreshingly cold juices were enjoyed followed by a stroll through the magnificent Bird Gardens, meeting so many bird species, frogs, lizards, snakes and more with these 8-9 year old youngsters being fascinated by each and very creature.
Then it was time for the Flight of Fantasy Show which thrilled all before hungry tummies called us to an area set aside for our children. Tannje and team were on hand to fill eager hands with chicken burgers, bottles of water on this boiling hot day, chips and then delicious ice creams. Gertrude the Burmese python was then brought by her handler to meet us all. The children enjoyed colouring in and having their faces painted while the care givers were treated to much needed Mangwanani Spa massages.
Before the day was over, the children were treated to a gift thanks to our Montecasino sponsors and Magic Company. Extremely happy children sang their thanks as they walked to their awaiting bus.
