We learnt so much today” as echoed by all the children who so enjoyed this school holiday treat on the open top red bus sponsored by City Sightseeing.
Mouthwatering muffins started off our trip as we headed for Sci-Bono where the group were enthralled by the Lascaux cave exhibition as well as the electrical and experimental areas. The two Lorraine’s were on hand to escort the children on a tour of the prison and court at Constitution Hill. They were listened with wide-eyes to the detail of how prisoners were treated during their incarceration and asked so many intelligent questions about the workings of the highest court in the land. Munching their way through delicious lunch packs thanks to Pick ‘n Pay Woodmead, we travelled to the James Hall Transport Museum. There they were taken on an exciting walk through the displays and allowed aboard old steam trains and the last tram to travel the Joburg roads.
