Epworth Children’s Village is a residential care centre for children between the ages 3 and 18. These children are placed at the centre by the children’s court as they are deemed to be at risk as a result of abuse, neglect, abandonment, orphan hood or special needs. These special needs include behavioural challenges, medical needs and developmental delays. This children’s village provides psychotherapy, play therapy, occupational therapy assessment, educational and career assessments, not just to these children but to the rest of the disadvantaged people in the community who would not be able to afford such professional services otherwise.
