It was a hot and tiring day, but so rewarding thanks to the support of so many, and the joyous welcome received at each Ga-Dikgale drop-in centre as we arrived to offload tons of essential groceries.
So many helped to make this food drive possible with a donation of funds from Lifestyle Galaxy; additional sugar from Makro Woodmead; 40 huge tins of jam from Nashua Limpopo; and the transportation of the grocery pallets by Imperial Health Logistics. A thanks must be said to Europcar who came to our aid by loaning the Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation 2 vehicles to transport our 16 volunteers; and Victoria Place for the very special discounted accommodation for our overnight stay in Polokwane. And a big thank you to Ranti Drop-in centre who prepared a delicious lunch for the entire group.
Without all our volunteers and generous sponsors we could not have fed more than 3500 children who will hopefully enjoy this generous delivery for a few months to come.
