The Matjele Community Project is an organisation that looks after 235 children; among them are orphans, vulnerable children and child headed households. Operating from Monday to Friday between 08h00 and 16h30, children receive lunch as well as food parcels for child headed households. Apart from this, counselling is also provided, assistance with application of birth certificates, identity documents, disability and child support grants. The organisation furthermore educates the community about the dangers of contracting HIV/AIDS and TB, and creates awareness about children’s rights.
