NCCF commemorates World Aids Day with fun and smiles
World Aids Day will be remembered as a day of fun, smiles and bewilderment for hundreds of children at the Monte Casino Bird Gardens thanks to Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation (NCCF) and its generous sponsors.
On 3 December 2017, the NCCF, Tsogo Sun, Monte Casino, Magic Company, Café Flamingo, Flight of Fantasy Bird Show and Mangwanani treated children from the Inner City Mission to a day out with beautiful birds, an inspiring show and fun in the sun.
From the moment they entered the magnificent gardens, there were “oohs” and “aahs” as they approached the birds, snakes, lemurs and lizards. They were quickly enthralled by the Flight of Fantasy Show and a tour through the gardens.
To top off a perfect day, there were jumping castles, lunch with delicious treats and eats, face painting, magic and lucky dip packs.
The children were left wide-eyed, smiling and full of thanks for the NCCF and its sponsors.
Their care-takers and volunteers were also treated with a relaxing Mangwanani massage and lunch – just a token of gratitude for the work they do for these children.
A special thanks the sponsors who made this day possible. The children are going to carry memories of the day through the school holidays and beyond.
