Thanks to Miracle Drive, Standard Bank and the Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation, we hope to soon have 40 young entrepreneurs earning their own income and being able to save for their otherwise limited future.
Chabad House teamed with eager young boys from the Bongani Community Development Centre over the weekend. They had a quick snack and listened to a few words from Rabbi Masinter and Thomas Malaba of Standard Bank, encouraging them all to learn from an experienced young shoe shiner on how to get their own businesses underway.
Following the demonstration, the boys each received their start-up shoe shine kit valued at R500.00 each. With smiles all round and words of thanks, the boys were eager to board their transport back to Soweto to start looking for the ideal spot to set up each of the businesses.
Thank you to everyone responsible for making a difference to the lives of these young boys.
