On Sunday 29 November, the Nashua Children’s Charity Foundation (NCCF) and generous sponsors Mugg and Bean, Mangwanani Spa, Flamingo Café and Magic Company, treated 121 deserving children to an awesome World AIDS Day event at Montecasino Bird Gardens.
After enjoying muffins and juice, the children were welcomed by the Bird Gardens’ mascots and guided through the aviary, before getting seated for the Flights of Fantasy Show – a breathtaking display of show birds in flight.
After the show, a few brave youngsters had the opportunity to pet an albino python, brought into the arena especially for the group.
Lunch was served in the company of the Oros Man and the aviary’s mascots, while the caregivers were treated to shoulder and neck massages from Mangwanani Spa. Each child received a bag of goodies to end off the fun-filled day.
The NCCF extends its gratitude to the volunteers and sponsors who made this day possible.
