Following Nashua’s new focus on expanding its footprint in the colour production print market, the company will now be offering the best in industry colour digital printing presses from Ricoh. This new range includes three devices namely the Ricoh Pro™ C651EX and Pro™ C751EX which are scanner models, and the Pro™ C751 which is the printer model only.
These devices have already proven successful for Ricoh, and Nashua envisages the product range making significant inroads into various industries and environments such as government, education, insurance, print rooms, copy shops, financial institutions and corporate companies with large printing requirements.
The product range presents a unique offering, providing the latest technological developments that ensure high image quality and lower costs. Leading these developments is a new laser beam technology that provides industry leading quality and a resolution of 4800 dpi. The devices also have the ability to monitor paper expansion and contraction during warming and cooling ensuring that superior registration accuracy is achieved. Further, the new laser beam technology ensures that fine line text is clear and sharp. Lastly, the inclusion of active toner density control ensures that over longer runs, colour density remains stable.
Unique to the cut-sheet printing market is the new liquid cooling technology which optimises developer temperature for improved productivity. This also means that additional types of media can be used, ensuring clients more range and flexibility. This, coupled with a whole host of finishing options, will further enhance the offering.
These devices will be backed up by Nashua’s extensive support network throughout Southern Africa. Downtime is therefore minimised and often eliminated thanks to intelligent machine monitoring software that will allow technicians to pre-empt any interruption in service. In addition, every device comes standard with an Operator Replacement Unit which further minimises downtime. These devices also minimise the need to stop print runs to replace toners as this can be done while the machine is still running.
Clients will furthermore benefit from new software which will be made available to them to stream-line operations as well as be able to integrate seamlessly into existing processes and software. Nashua’s customised software solutions are designed to close the loop in the document management process therefore adding value to any clients operations.
David Coutinho, Managing Director of Nashua Limited, concludes that with the backing of the Nashua brand together with best in industry devices will ensure that the company will make significant inroads into the production print market.
“As the leader in office automation in South Africa we are at a critical point where we can capitalise on our current position in order to leverage movement into new markets.
“Production printing is part of this focus and through strategic investment as well as world leading software and hardware we aim to further enhance our offering to our customers.”
