Heather Claase and her husband, Jan, suffered a series of setbacks to their business – but with the help of Nashua’s personalised solutions, the couple managed to establish a successful new construction venture.
In 2007 – a year after the Claases lost their 18-year old son in a tragic motorcycle accident – their family-run business closed its doors. As a result of the closure of the business, Jan and Heather lost their home, as well as their life savings.
In a bold move, the Claases decided to set up a small construction business to support themselves. With no capital outlay for office equipment, Jan and Heather approached Nashua to secure a printer, and leased a device at a reasonable rate. The device was stolen a few weeks later during a break-in at the couple’s new premises, and wasn’t insured. After explaining their situation, Nashua replaced the device at no charge. In addition, Nashua went a step further and lowered the Claase’s monthly premiums.
This small act of support gave Jan and Heather the boost they needed to get Jadun Construction off the ground. Within a few months, the start-up was running successfully, and the Claases began to rebuild what they had lost.
The Claases have trusted Nashua throughout the journey and growth of Jadun Construction – their CCTV, printers and switchboard are all managed by Nashua. Nashua’s customer-focussed approach assisted the Claases in setting up a successful construction company when they needed it most – providing meaningful support and customised solutions that made a real difference.
